Mobile Advocacy

Support that meets you where you are.

When someone is experiencing domestic violence or sexual assault, getting help isn’t always simple. Transportation challenges, childcare needs, work schedules, safety concerns, and other barriers can make it difficult to access services. CODA’s Mobile Advocacy program helps remove those obstacles by meeting survivors where they are.

Our advocates bring support directly into the community, providing flexible, personalized services designed around each individual’s unique situation and needs.

What Is Mobile Advocacy?

Mobile advocacy is support provided to survivors through a combination of advocacy, safety planning, housing assistance, legal advocacy and flexible funding. The program works to serve survivors’ basic needs while offering in-person support in environments where they feel both safe and comfortable.

What Mobile Advocacy Includes

Mobile Advocacy is a flexible, wrap-around set of supports tailored to each survivor’s situation:

  • 24/7 crisis intervention and safety planning
  • One-on-one advocacy at a location you choose
  • Emergency hotel stays for high-danger situations
  • Transportation for court, medical, and critical appointments
  • Bus tickets and relocation support
  • Court advocacy and help filing protective orders
  • Connection to partner shelters when shelter is the safest option
  • Referrals to housing, legal, medical, and mental-health resources
  • Support for children and families
  • Lethality Assessment Program (LAP) coordination with first responders

Survivor-Centered Support

At CODA, we believe survivors should have choices. Our advocates work alongside individuals to create plans that prioritize safety, empowerment, and long-term stability. You do not have to navigate difficult situations alone.

Our goal is to make help more accessible by reducing barriers and providing compassionate support where and when it is needed most.
